About us

It was in 2012 that I was looking for a job, other than the one I had and I came across a vacancy for a new to start company in the Netherlands. They were looking for someone with administration qualities, vision in organizing and logistics, flexible and customer focused and I applied. It took some time before they noticed me but I drew the attention of HairDirect Inc. I got hired and there was a rollercoaster of events that happened. I went to the United States for training and returned with the responsibility of a warehouse that was completely empty. There was a shipment on an ocean freighter with stocks send to The Netherlands and while I was in the United States, my husband had picked up the keys of the warehouse. I went out to get furniture for the office, bought racking, created the lay out in my head and started to set up the EU-office.

We had some really good times and HairDirect inc was doing great. Being able to get the European customer their much needed products to overcome their hair situation gave me great satisfaction. I loved helping where I could, thought of solutions when products didn’t work or weren’t available. Managed to continue helping UK customer after Brexit and saw the changes in the rest of Europe. Then the pandemic came and the Chinees Hair supplies dried up. We managed to get out of that crises. Then a Chinees factory burned down. They managed to relocate employees from the factories. Then the Credit card company demanded additional bank guarantees that were too much to overcome. On January 28, 2022 it was decided that the company would close per directly.

The day we were all told that the company would close down, we actually closed! But I couldn’t, could I? I just received new products. And who was going to help out the European customers? Most products come from the United States and they are difficult to find here. Customers relay on the availability and now they had to do without?

It wasn’t for the loss of my job, but it was for the loss of the customers that I (and my husband) decided that I had to go on. I had to start for myself. Start my own company and provide the same service and products for the European customers or even better. Not just do it my way but also the way the customer wants it.

So here we are. Treat project BV is created and it has a lot of possibilities. I’m providing the same products, more service and I’m looking at modernizing where I can. I try to be environmental friendly by using less plastic that before. Using green energy where I can. With a hair specialist I’m looking at options for customers to get hair orders. And I’m hoping to continue the very appreciated ProTouch line.
