One person, one vision, thousands of hairpieces—and a lot of heart.
Treat Project BV isn’t your average webshop. It’s a small business with a big backstory, run by one passionate human (hi, that’s me!) who’s been dedicated to helping hair system users across Europe and beyond for over a decade.
How it started
Back in 2012, while searching for a new job, I stumbled across a vacancy from a US-based company setting up shop in the Netherlands: HairDirect Inc. They needed someone with logistics skills, admin expertise, customer focus—and a bit of vision. I applied, got the job, and soon found myself on a plane to the U.S. for training.
When I returned, the office was nothing more than four walls and a key my husband had picked up while I was away. From scratch, I built the European warehouse—buying racking, setting up systems, and turning an empty shell into a fully functioning operation.
How it shifted
Things were going great. We served customers across Europe with hard-to-find hair system products and personal support that really made a difference. Then came the unexpected.
In early 2022, HairDirect Inc. abruptly shut down.
But I couldn’t do the same. European customers still needed help. Orders were pending. The shelves were full. So I did what felt right: I kept going.
How it’s going
Treat Project B.V. was born from that moment. I started my own company to continue supporting customers across Europe and beyond, offering trusted brands, quality products, and the personal service they had come to rely on.
Today, Treat Project operates from
Balk, a beautiful village in Friesland, the Netherlands.
What started as a small operation has grown into a specialised webshop offering hair systems, adhesives, tapes, removers, scalp preparation products, hair care, and professional salon supplies.
Despite that growth, Treat Project remains a small, independently run business where personal service comes first.
Today, I:
- Personally manage the webshop and customer service.
- Supply hair systems and professional hair replacement products to customers and salons across Europe and beyond.
- Carefully select products from established and trusted brands.
- Continue to expand the assortment based on customer needs.
- Aim to reduce unnecessary packaging and make more sustainable choices wherever possible.
- Work with hair specialists to offer additional solutions.
The location may have changed, but the dedication hasn’t.
Freedom & Transparency
After more than a decade in the hair replacement industry, I’ve learned that every customer has different needs, preferences, and expectations.
Some customers want a long-lasting bond. Others prefer removing their hair system every day. Some are looking for their first hair system, while others have been wearing one for years.
There’s no single solution that works for everyone.
That’s why Treat Project focuses on honest advice, flexibility, and helping customers make informed decisions.
We don’t require subscriptions, contracts, or mandatory salon visits. You decide what works best for you.
Whether you’re an individual customer or a professional salon, you’re welcome to order what you need, whenever you need it.
Why It Matters
For me, Treat Project has always been about more than selling products.
Hair replacement can make a real difference to someone’s confidence and everyday life. Finding the right products shouldn’t be complicated or unnecessarily expensive.
Since 2012, I’ve helped customers navigate everything from choosing their first adhesive to finding suitable hair systems and dealing with changing international shipping regulations.
