One person, one vision, thousands of hairpieces—and a lot of heart.

Treat Project BV isn’t your average webshop. It’s a small business with a big backstory, run by one passionate human (hi, that’s me!) who’s been dedicated to helping hair system users across Europe and beyond for over a decade.

How it started

Back in 2012, while searching for a new job, I stumbled across a vacancy from a US-based company setting up shop in the Netherlands: HairDirect Inc. They needed someone with logistics skills, admin expertise, customer focus—and a bit of vision. I applied, got the job, and soon found myself on a plane to the U.S. for training.

When I returned, the office was nothing more than four walls and a key my husband had picked up while I was away. From scratch, I built the European warehouse—buying racking, setting up systems, and turning an empty shell into a fully functioning operation.

How it shifted

Things were going great. We served customers across Europe with hard-to-find hair system products and personal support that really made a difference. Then came the unexpected.

In early 2022, HairDirect Inc. abruptly shut down.

But I couldn’t do the same. European customers still needed help. Orders were pending. The shelves were full. So I did what felt right: I kept going.
